Mr. Rosenblut also serves as the president and CEO of the Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, Inc. and is the founding chairman at AgeWell New York, a Medicare Advantage/Medicaid Advantage Plus Plan.

    William Villanova, a Port Chester resident active in the Village and school district community and president of the iconic Frank E. Campbell The Funeral Chapel in New York City, was selected to act and provide consulting services for the award-winning television show Succession.

    Two young students from Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School in Rye Brook, brothers Sabhyas (grade 2) and Mehraj (kindergarten) Saran , organized a Holi fundraiser on Apr. 16 to support education for students in India.

  • Jackson Steele of Rye Brook was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Steele was initiated at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C.

  • Happy birthday to retired Port Chester Police Chief Carl Verrastro, now of North Carolina, who turns 76 Apr. 2. He spent 25 years in the Port Chester Police Department before retiring in 1994.

lives on at Okemo

    On Feb. 11, 2023, the NASTAR Start Shack at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vt. was dedicated to the memory of John W. Reavis, Jr. of Port Chester, who died on June 29, 2020.

  • Happy birthday to Bian Suzuki Wolf who turns 22 Apr. 1. She is the granddaughter of Jill Wolf Abel of Rye Brook and is a Computer Science student at SUNY Binghamton.

    Westchester Parks Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for the first-ever All Terrain Trackchair Program. The new adaptive trail program allows individuals living with paralysis, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and other disabilities the opportunity to enjoy trails through the use of specially designed All-Terrain Trackchairs that can be used on dirt trails, mud, sand and grass.
