  • Carly Kabot and Reanna Rosenfeld chosen for Albany conference

    Carly Kabot, a sophomore at Blind Brook High School, and Reanna Rosenfeld, a junior at Port Chester High School, have been chosen by the League of Women Voters of Rye, Rye Brook and Port Chester to attend the 17th annual Students Inside Albany (SIA) Conference to be held May 21-24. The NY State League of Women Voters and the local chapter underwrite all the costs of attending the conference.

    As part of the County Board of Legislators’ annual Black History and Heritage Celebration on Monday, Feb. 13, Legislator David Gelfarb (R), who represents Rye Brook, Port Chester and part of Harrison, presented a proclamation to Doris Bailey-Reavis of Port Chester in honor of her many years of civic engagement.

    A June wedding is planned for Valerie Ianello and John Melfa of Port Chester.

    The couple first met when they were students at King Street Elementary School. Lifelong residents of Port Chester, Valerie and John graduated from Port Chester High School, Classes of 2002 and 2000 respectively.
