Rachel Joseph of Rye Brook made Dean's List again at Cornell University College of
Agriculture and Life Sciences. She is studying Food Science and is a graduate of Blind Brook High School. Congratulations from Mom and Dad.
Brittany T. Abel of Port Chester and Julia Klein of Rye Brook have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester at Cornell University in Ithaca, N. Y. Brittany is in the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences majoring in Biology; Julia is in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Alexa Alter and Josephine Chekmeyan, both of Rye Brook, and Kelsey Maloney of Port Chester have been named to the Dean's List at the University of Delaware in Newark for the spring 2014 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
Joshua Caspi of Rye Brook and Joseph Donato of Port Chester were among the honorees at the Business Council of Westchester's Rising Stars event on Thurs., June 12. They are among the finest young talents in Westchester County and work with some of the region's best companies and institutions. The recognition is specifically designed to recognize individuals under the age of 40 who exemplify leadership, foresight and a vision for the future of Westchester County.
The following women were installed as 2014 officers of the Ruth Lyon Bush Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution following the chapter's May meeting at the home of Jane Jackson in Rye: Jane Jackson, secretary; Lisa Ben-Meir, vice regent; Barbara Brunner, treasurer; and Donna Franklin, regent. Franklin is from Port Chester, the others from Rye. The chapter was established and chartered in Port Chester and includes members from Port Chester and Rye.
Cynthia Alvarez of Port Chester, a senior at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., has been named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2014 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.
Alexandra Blaiotta and Victoria Ferrer, both of Rye Brook, graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City on May 15. Alexandra received a BFA in Fine Arts; Victoria received a BFA in Photography.
