Janice Tavolacci, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died June 14, 2014. She was born to Ora (Blood) and Clifford Pearce who predeceased her. Mrs. Tavolacci is the co-owner of Artemis Salon in Port Chester. She is survived by her son Anthony (Suzanne) Tavolacci and four stepchildren: Lisa Kaufman, Daria Ettinger, Matthew and Douglas Tavolacci; two grandchildren, Aaron and Ethan; and eight step-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Anne Monte and a brother, George Pearce. Janice was predeceased by her husband Anthony. Family will receive friends at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, on Friday, June 20 at 3 p. m. with a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Janice's name.

Frances Ann Buxton (Kurakowski), 87, of Port Chester died June 15, 2014 at Greenwich Hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1927 in Old Greenwich, Ct. to Rose and Frank Kurakowski. She is survived by her son, Harry D. Buxton III (Kathy), her granddaughters Heather and Shana Buxton and former daughter-in-law Renee Vadala and husband Tony. Mrs. Buxton was employed by Life Savers candy factory for more than 25 years and worked there until the Port Chester location closed in 1984. She was then employed by Lillian Vernon in Port Chester, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Port Chester Senior Citizens, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and a member of the Knights of Columbus. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Buxton, Jr., her parents and siblings.
