How to submit a letter to the editor
The Westmore News encourages letters to the editor expressing your opinion on any local, regional or international issues or events that concern you. Letters must include your name and telephone number for verification purposes. Letters are due by Tuesday at noon. All letters related to an election are limited to 500 words starting four issues prior to the election. We do not accept letters relating to an election the week prior to that election. Throughout the year, no letters from the same person will be accepted two weeks in a row. The Westmore News reserves the right to edit or reject any letters.

Letter: Blackout Wednesday Nov. 25, 2015
Thanksgiving is a time when families and friends get together to share a meal and enjoy each other's company. We will spend time watching the parade, playing touch football, catching up with relatives that have been away or just relaxing on the couch together after a big meal watching the game.

Letter: Messrs. Telep and Ceruzzi don't speak for everyone
I am writing in response to letters from Mr. Ceruzzi and Mr. Telep as published in the Nov. 13 issue of the Westmore News. These two gentlemen, along with Tom Corbia, make it a sport to rail nonstop against our schools, the school board, and the school bond.

On Dec. 22, 2015 from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. at Port Chester Middle School, the Board of Education will be presenting a $41.5M bond to the voters.

Letter: Time to pass the bond
I have noticed signs going up that oppose the school bond saying "Save Our High School." This makes it sound like not passing the bond will have no effect on the actual students in the high school, or middle and elementary schools for that matter.

Newly elected Rye Town Supervisor Gary Zuckerman is starting his town-wide political life under a black cloud: condemnation from the Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee for false claims and charges which poisoned the community waters and pitted neighbor against neighbor in an ugly fashion.
