A call for diversity in faculty at Port Chester High School
This past Friday, Apr. 4, was the 46th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Not too long before that, we celebrated his birthday. In remarks I gave at a wonderful event at the Port Chester Middle School, I said the following, "We gather to remember and celebrate a great man whose impact was felt around the world. And in remembering Dr. King, let's remember what a year 2013 was.

Accord reached with Signature Flight
As we reported to you several months ago, the county, town, village, and school district have been engaged in litigation with Signature Flight Support, a fixed based operator at the Westchester County Airport, which was seeking to become tax exempt.

Western side of Haines Blvd. still awaiting resurfacing
Some years ago residents of Haines Boulevard learned that the street would be resurfaced at intersections with Hawley Avenue, Ridge Boulevard and College Avenue. This was indeed done, but to the surprise of all and delight of some, we found out that the entire length of the boulevard on the eastern side (odd numbers) was being resurfaced. However, nothing was done on the western side (even numbers).
