Voters veto building project
It was over in a matter of minutes.

More than 1,600 people cast ballots on Tuesday, Dec. 22 to determine the fate of the Port Chester schools' proposed $41.5 million construction bond.

After months of contentious school board meetings, vicious letters to the editor and inflammatory statements on social media, the end may be in sight-depending on how the public votes on Tuesday, Dec. 22. Residents of the Port Chester School District will have the chance to tell the Board of Education if the district should go ahead with a $41.5 million project to fix overcrowding at the high school or head back to the drafting table to come up with a different plan.
