NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Rye will receive sealed bids at the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 10 Pearl Street, Rye, New York, 10573 until 11:00A.M. current time on Monday, April 21, 2014 for furnishing materials, equipment, services and/or performing all work to paint various spaces of the Crawford Park Mansion as described herein. At the date and time specified above, all sealed bids will be opened, read aloud and recorded.

Copies of the complete bid package may be obtained from the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 10 Pearl Street, Port Chester, New York, 10573. There will be a Bidder's Meeting held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Crawford Park Mansion, 122 North Ridge Street, Rye Brook, New York 10573. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Furnish INTERIOR PAINTING services at the Crawford Park Mansion to the Town of Rye as described on the attached Bid Form and and Scope of Work as supplemented by any and all notes to specifications contained herein.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: All bids must be submitted on the enclosed Bid Form and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked "SEALED BID - PAINTING SERVICES - RFP -008-14".

Bidders shall not take bid package apart, but must return same complete and in the same manner as received. All certifications, etc. must be signed. All bid Forms must be signed and also clearly indicate a contact person and phone number. Bids shall be addressed to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 10 Pearl Street, Port Chester, New York, 10573.

The Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State and Local laws in the performance of this contract, to include, but not limited to, all applicable labor and compensation laws.

The Contractor shall supply all labor, properly licensed to work, in Westchester County, the Village of Rye Brook, the Village of Port Chester, the Village of Mamaroneck, and the City of Rye for all on-site work.

IRREGULAR BIDS: Bids may be rejected if they show any omissions, alterations of form, additions not called for, conditional bids or irregularities of any kind.

QUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS: All bidders must be regularly engaged in the business of the item that he bids upon. Each bidder must have adequate personnel, equipment, materials, plant capacity and/or delivery capacity to properly execute the item that he bids. Any bidder may be required, as deemed necessary by the Town of Rye, to furnish additional data regarding qualification of the bidder to successfully and responsibly perform the item or items upon which he has bid. Such additional data may include, but not be limited to, previous references for similar work performed, equipment available for performance of work and statements showing financial ability to successfully and responsibly perform the item of items bid.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Budget Hearing of the Blind Brook-Rye Union Free School District shall be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 8:00 o'clock in the evening in the Monroe E. Haas IMC at Blind Brook Middle/High School on King Street, Rye Brook, New York, for the purpose of discussion of the expenditure of funds and budgeting thereof;

AND FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual election of the Board of Education be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 between the hours of 7:00 o'clock in the forenoon and 9:00 o'clock in the evening of said day, in the main building gym of the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School on North Ridge Street, for the purpose of electing two school board members each for a three-year term, beginning July 1, 2014 and expiring June 30, 2017, to fill the expiring terms of Jeffrey B. Completed applications must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the election, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter. All absentee ballots must be received in the Clerk's office by 5:00 p.m., prevailing time on May 20, 2014. A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots shall have been issued will be available in said office of the Clerk on each of the five (5) days prior to the day of the election except Sunday, and such list shall also be posted at the polling place at the election of members of the Board of Education. Any qualified voter may challenge the acceptance of the ballot of any person on such list, by making his challenge and reasons therefore known to the Inspector of Election before the close of the polls.
