P. C. volleyball team loses in straight sets to Pelham
The Port Chester High School volleyball team lost to the Pelham Memorial High School Pelicans in straight sets (25-4, 25-12, 25-7) Tuesday, Sept. 23 to fall to 0-9 on the season.

Rams and Lady Rams split with Blind Brook in historic 3-mile cross country dual meet
Rams distance running aces Leonard Pietrafesa and John Barrett finished first and second during a cross country run for the history books-the first time Port Chester had ever raced against Blind Brook in an eventful long distance duel which took place last Friday, Sept. 19 at Blind Brook. The Trojans took the next five places against the staggering Rams to emerge with the team win in the boys' three-mile run.

Port Chester soccer Lady Rams notch 8-0 win over Mt. Vernon
It was the rarest of rarities for the young, up-and-coming Port Chester Lady Rams soccer team-a laugher of an 8-0 win over Mount Vernon Monday at home in what amounted to a coming of age party of sorts with every player on the roster getting playing time, seven different players scoring, and the outcome hopefully providing a glimpse of future success down the line in years to come.

The Blind Brook girls' varsity tennis team faced Keio Academy on Friday, Sept. 19 at Blind Brook High School's homecoming where they were unable to pick up a win, dropping their record to 1-4 on the season.

Last season, the Blind Brook boys' varsity soccer team was not playing well at one point. At that juncture in the season, if you were to have told an avid Section 1 high school soccer fan that Blind Brook would win the section, that fan would have said "no way."

Luis Morales scored early and late, Steven (Stevie Wonder) Hernandez served as a magnet for multiple defenders even as he kept setting up his free teammates with accurate passes despite being brutally manhandled throughout the game, and Shevante Scott used his head in more ways than one to lead a swarming Rams defense that refused to quit as the Port Chester High School soccer Rams beat a rules-bending Pelham team 2-1 last Thursday, Sept. 18 at home.
