Port Chester police were called to the Stop & Shop at 25 Waterfront Pl. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, after a 51-year-old man allegedly stole beer from the store.

When officers arrived at 3:43 p.m., they immediately met with the asset protection associate who witnessed the alleged event. According to the police report, Fernando Galvan-Trujillo selected a 12-pack of Corona valued at $21 and walked around the store with the box in hand. He continued to allegedly walk out without making attempts to pay for the beer.

The 137 E. William St. resident was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
