Blind Brook boys’ varsity lacrosse came back on the wrong foot after their spring break. They took on another loss against Edgemont, leaving the Trojans with a record of 2-7.
Edgemont defeats the Trojans
On Tuesday, Apr. 30, Blind Brook faced Edgemont at home, ending in an unanswerable 20-5 loss. The Trojans lost all seven draws of the first quarter which resulted in Edgemont’s constant hold on the ball. Blind Brook’s defense couldn’t keep up as their competitors doubled their points during the second quarter, going from six goals to 12. Junior Cameron Storch scored two of the Trojans’ five points in the beginning and end of the game, and junior Drew Kaye rushed downfield to score another memorable point during the fourth quarter. Other than that, Blind Brook must work on being more aggressive on both their offense and defense.
The Trojans faced both Yonkers and North Salem after press time on Wednesday and Thursday, May 1 and 2. Their rescheduled away game against Keio will be on Saturday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m. Blind Brook will stay home to play Rye Tuesday, May 7 and hit the road on Thursday, May 9 to take on Roosevelt. Both contests will be held at 4:30 p.m.
