Evelyn Malveau, a 20-year-old from North Carolina whose mother's fiancé grew up in Port Chester, pets Charlie, a Bare Eyed cockatoo, that belongs to Eve Deitz of South Regent Street. Eve and her husband George also brought their Goffin's cockatoo, Elliot, to Unity Day at Columbus Park on Saturday, Aug. 9.
