  • Carver Center benefit a resounding success

    Over 250 friends, supporters, and sponsors came together on Saturday evening, Apr. 6 for the Port Chester Carver Center’s “When All Boats Rise” benefit at the Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club. Guests dined, danced and raised their paddles to Build Brighter Futures for the Port Chester community.

at Apr. 27 community brunch
    The Salvation Army is pleased to honor Daniel Colangelo and Nick Mecca for their years of service in the Port Chester and Town of Rye community. Both honorees are lifelong residents of Port Chester and actively serve others through various roles and community group memberships.

for teen tobacco use prevention advocacy

    In conjunction with National Public Health Week observed Apr. 1-7, the Westchester County Board of Health recognized five people and an organization at the 2019 Public Health Awards at White Plains High School on Thursday, Apr. 4.

    Michal Nowak knows a lot about roads, thanks to the Cornell Local Roads Program. The Village of Rye Brook’s superintendent of public works has been granted the title of Road Master Level II.

    Four area student musicians participated in state honor bands at the 2019 NYSBDA (New York School Band Directors Association) Symposium in Liverpool last weekend.

Association of Towns president

    Anthony Provenzano, a justice in the Town of Rye, was elected president for the 2019-20 term by the delegation at the Association of Towns of New York State’s annual business meeting on Feb. 20. He will officially begin his term on May 1.
