Manhattanville College has appointed Dr. Lisa M. Dolling as the College's new provost, vice president for academic affairs and professor of philosophy. A Manhattanville College alumna, she is currently dean, College of Arts and Letters, co-director, Stevens Center for Science Writing, and associate professor of philosophy at Stevens Institute of Technology. She will begin as provost July 1, succeeding Dr. Gail M. Simmons who has accepted a position at another university.
The "Princeton Review Guide to 353 Green Colleges" has designated Purchase College as one of the nation's top environmentally responsible schools. The designation was based on data from their 2014 survey of hundreds of 4-year colleges concerning the schools' commitments to the environment and sustainability.

Jonathan Calderon, Tahler Channer and Emery Zuk, all of Port Chester, received degrees from SUNY Potsdam. Jonathan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology; Tahler graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing and Anthropology and Emery graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.
Tyler Gambardella of Port Chester and Robert Sanders, Jr. and Anthony Santorelli, both of Rye Brook, graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains May 21.
Dr. Marvin L. Teich, M.D. of Rye Brook, who graduated from NY Medical College in 1965, received a 50-year gold diploma on May 17 at the annual alumni banquet held in NYC. Dr. Teich is a Medical Director of two nursing homes and is in private practice.
A retirement dinner honoring Frank Fanelli for his 43 years of service in the Port Chester School District will be held Fri., June 19 from 7-11 p.m. at Mulino's at Lake Isle, 600 White Plains Rd., Eastchester. Cost is $125 per person which includes dinner, dancing and an open bar. Checks should be made payable to Port Chester Teachers' Federal Credit Union.
