For the fourth consecutive year, tuition for nearly 13,000 students at Westchester Community College (WCC) will not increase under a proposed budget submitted recently by County Executive Robert P. Astorino to the Board of Legislators.

The New York State Public Service Commission recently granted Verizon and its directory publisher permission to stop printing and delivering business telephone books to its customers, allowing Verizon to close the book on its business telephone book. Verizon can now avoid the unnecessary printing of paper directories, an environmentally sound option. Verizon will only deliver business or residential directories to customers who request a printed copy.

White Plains Hospital has received the CEO Cancer Gold Standardaccreditation for a second consecutive year. The award recognizes the Hospital’s ongoing effort to reduce cancer risks by cultivating the health and wellness of its employees and their families.
