The newly merged Benchmark Resorts & Hotels and Gemstone
Hotels & Resorts, recognized global leaders in the management and marketing
of resorts, hotels and conference centers, have formally announced the
appointment of Mike McNeill as the new general manager for Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook, replacing Steve
Mabus.
“It is indeed a pleasure to have Mike lead Doral Arrowwood,” said
Co-President Greg Champion. “He has brought with him a tremendous knowledge of
the resort’s market opportunities for all business segments, in addition to
broad hospitality operational experience. This is a return to Benchmark for
Mike, who is well versed in our company’s signature ‘Be The Difference’ guest
service culture.”
McNeill was previously managing director for Dolce Norwalk of
Norwalk, Conn. At the same time, he held regional responsibilities overseeing
Dolce Palisades in Palisades, N.Y., Dolce Basking Ridge of Basking Ridge, N.J.,
which Benchmark had earlier repositioned to an open-market property, and
Wyndham Hamilton Park located in Florham Park, N.J.
His new position represents a return to Benchmark for McNeill. Earlier
in his career he held director of rooms and director of human resources
positions for Benchmark properties in Virginia and California.
McNeil is a graduate of California State University-Chico.
He and his family reside in Ridgefield, Conn.
