Port Chester police rushed to a Clark Place home at 2:08 a.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 30, after a resident called the police and allegedly claimed someone was trying to break into the house.
The caller allegedly claimed the burglar was armed with a gun, so police secured the surrounding area upon arrival. While approaching the house, they then saw the caller walk onto the porch. According to the police report, when the officers asked what happened, the 26-year-old appeared high on drugs. He allegedly later admitted to smoking meth the day before.
The man allegedly continued to explain that he got into an argument with his father who he claimed threatened to shoot him earlier that day. However, the father had left the house to go to work. When police went to the father’s workplace, he allegedly claimed that he got into a small argument with his son about leaving the lights on in the house, but there was no aggression.
Sergio Michaca was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree, a misdemeanor.
