The American Red Cross and football Hall of Famer and blood donor Peyton Manning are asking people to donate blood while getting a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LVII in Arizona. The Picture House, 84 Kraft Ave., Bronxville will present “Cheap Shots,” Sun., Jan. 15 at 5 p.m. A newly digitized film, “Cheap Shots” is anything but. The David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center at Pocantico, 200 Lake Rd., Tarrytown, is presenting its first exhibition in the gallery, Inspired Encounters: Women Artists and the Legacies of Modern Art thru Mar. 19. The exhibition is comprised of 43 artworks and pairs pieces by a dozen groundbreaking women artists of the postwar period with new commissions of contemporary art. Pelham Art Center at 155 Fifth Ave. is displaying a new public art installation, “The Conversation Sculpture,” by Brooklyn artist Musa Hixson. It is a 9 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 ft. steel sculpture that mimics a blooming flower with three seats enclosed in its frame. The interactive piece intends to facilitate new connections and encourage people to think differently about public space.
