Tues., May 16 is election day for the Port Chester and Blind Brook school districts. Port Chester School District voters can cast their ballots at their local elementary school; Blind Brook district voters can go to the Cafetorium Stage. Enter at the new main entrance of the BMP Ridge Street School, 390 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook. Location is handicap accessible. Port Chester district residents will vote on the proposed 2023-24 budget and for two Board of Education members. Candidates are Thomas Corbia, Roberto Dominguez, George Ford and William Villanova. Blind Brook district residents will vote on the proposed 2023-24 budget and two candidates for the Board of Education—Katherine Hallissy Ayala and Danny Funk who are running unopposed. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. in both districts.

Rye Brook Recreation has announced that signups are taking place now for Summer Day Camp for boys and girls entering K-6th grade and Teen Travel Camp for boys and girls entering 7th-10th grade. Camps run July 3-Aug 11, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The Early Bird 6-week discounted rate ends Apr. 30. Day Camp fees: $1,150 for 1st child; $900 each additional child.Travel Camp fees: $1,900. Campers will be shown a variety of techniques on and off the wheel. Camps for ages 7-11 will focus on handbuilding and sculpture; camps for ages 12-15 will focus on wheel throwing and handbuilding. In the classroom, aspiring young artists will develop their imagination and build confidence while working in the transformational medium of clay. Ice Cream Social in Port Chester will present The Body’s Guest, a pop-up exhibition hosted at Studio 9D at 508 W. 26th St., NYC thru Sun., May 14, 12-6 p.m. Exhibit explores both problematic and necessary modes of multiplicity within the self. The small group show includes painting, assemblage, sculpture, fiber work and analog + digital drawings.
