James Joseph Venia: Sun Microsystems Director of Sales

James Joseph Venia, 76, a resident of Rye Brook who was fondly known as Jim, died Nov. 4, 2023, in Norwalk, Conn.

He was born in NYC Oct. 27, 1947.

His spirit, warmth, and love for life were evident to all who knew him; he was known for his loving nature, generous heart, and sharp intelligence and made a significant impact on the lives of many.

Jim was blessed with a loving family; he is survived by his adoring wife Lucy Venia and his son James.

His devotion to his family was apparent in everything he did; the love he had for them was immeasurable and his family was his greatest joy. Their bond was unbreakable and their love for one another was a testament to the incredible man that Jim was.

Jim was a proud alumnus of Fordham University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

His education served as the foundation of his successful career in the corporate world; he was highly respected in his field, having served as the Director of Sales at Sun Microsystems.

His dedication, hard work, and leadership made a significant impact in his profession. He was admired by his colleagues for his integrity and commitment to excellence.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, he had a passion for life that extended beyond his work. He had a love for travel and particularly loved the beauty of Caribbean beaches.

He enjoyed the game of golf and continuously worked on perfecting his swing.

Above all, Jim was a devoted Yankees fan; his love for the team was infectious, and he never missed a game.

His interests and hobbies were a reflection of his vibrant personality and zest for life.

Jim was a man of great character and had a heart full of love. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

His intelligence was admired by many, and his wisdom was sought after by those who knew him; he had a unique ability to make people feel special and valued.

His loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know and love him. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life.

Even though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he has left behind.
