A 26 Exchange Pl. man was arrested by Port Chester police officers on Thursday, Dec. 12 after he allegedly stole a pack of beer from the Stop & Shop at 25 Waterfront Pl.

According to the police report, an employee witnessed Fernando Mejia-Sosa walk out of the store without paying for a six-pack of Modelo.

The worker provided officers with a description of the 24-year-old, who had reportedly been issued a no trespass letter in November for a similar incident.

Mejia-Sosa was arrested at 9:03 a.m. after he was found walking on Beech Street. He was charged with burglary in the third degree, a felony.
