A clever PCHS promposal

Senior captain of the Port Chester varsity baseball team Joshua Virella asked his friend Olivia Tejeda, captain of the Port Chester cheerleading team, to prom right after the Friday, May 10 home baseball game. They’ve been friends since elementary school and both have 100% Port Chester roots, according to Joshua’s mom, Samantha Virella. Josh got some of his teammates to participate in the prom proposal by holding up posters and a flower that Olivia collected as she made her way to home plate where he was waiting for her with balloons and a bouquet of flowers. And Olivia said “yes”!
