Annual RTP Fall Festival outshines cloudy skies
October 24, 2019 at 6:33 a.m.
After waiting in a long line stretching around the pavilion, Westchester Avenue resident Camila Hidalgo, 6, finally gets the chance to sit down for some spooky face paint. Linda Torres, a Port Chester resident, painted hundreds of kids’ faces on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the third annual Fall Festival at Rye Town Park.
After learning all about Thistle the 3-year-old chicken from The Nature of Things environmental outreach program, 3-year-old New Rochelle resident Amy Villa crouches down for a better look at her feathery friend.
Though the skies are grey, 4-year-old Alexander Ayala’s smile lights up the park as he paints a pumpkin with his mother Monica Victoria of New Rochelle.
Visiting the festival with his Rye-based grandparents, Fairfield, Conn. resident Connor Foley, 2, bites into his big candy apple.
Followed by his mother Jen Donnelly of Rye, 4-year-old Mason jumps off the hayride after taking a trip around Rye Town Park.
Despite cloudy skies, hundreds of people enjoyed food, activities and the Rye Town Park atmosphere at the annual festival.
