2019 County & Town Tax Notice

This is a notice to all taxpayers whose property is located in the Village of Port Chester, the Village of Rye Brook, or the Rye Neck section of Mamaroneck that the 2019 County & Town tax bills have been mailed. If you haven’t received your bill, please contact the Tax Office. This tax must be paid by April 30, 2019. If payment is not received by that date, a mandatory, non-waivable penalty of 2% will be added for the month of May and will increase monthly thereafter.

For your convenience, there are three ways for you to make payment.

1) You may mail your check in the envelope provided. Be sure to include the bottom portion of the bill. If you would like a receipt, mark the appropriate box on the stub. Payments must be postmarked by the U. S. Post Office no later than April 30, 2019 to avoid the penalty.

2) You may pay in person at the Tax Office, 222 Grace Church Street, 3rd floor, in Port Chester during our office hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 4:00PM). Please bring the entire bill with you.

3) You may pay on line. You may pay by credit card. (Be advised that there is a fee.) You may also pay by electronic transfer (ACH). Check the back of the bill for instructions.

BID WITHDRAWAL: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled opening of the bids without the consent of the Town of Rye. Also, no bid can be resubmitted by a bidder that has successfully withdrawn a bid prior to the bid opening.

CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall be required to furnish a performance bond acceptable to the Town of Rye for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.

IRREGULAR BIDS: Bids may be rejected if they show any omissions, alterations of form, additions not called for, conditional bids or irregularities of any kind.

QUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS: All bidders must be regularly engaged in the business of the item that he bids upon. Each bidder must have adequate personnel, equipment, materials, plant capacity and/or delivery capacity to properly execute the item that he bids. The Contractors shall supply labor

properly licensed to work in Westchester County and the Village of Rye Brook for all on-site work.

Any bidder may be required, as deemed necessary by the Architect, to furnish additional data regarding qualification of the bidder to successfully and responsibly perform the item or items upon which he has bid.

MINORITY PARTICIPATION POLICY: It is the policy of the Town of Rye to include minority and women-owned businesses in its solicitations and to take affirmative steps to ensure that M/WBE’s have full participation in the procurement process.

The Applicant respectfully requests under the discretionary power vested in the Zoning Board of Appeals by Village Code Section 345-30 that the Zoning Board of Appeals grant area variances from Zoning Code Chapter 345, Attachment 3B, Schedule of Regulations for Non-Residence Districts, as follows: (i) lot area per dwelling unit variance in the amount of 562 sq.ft.; (ii) floor area ratio (“FAR”) variance in the amount of 1.05 FAR; (iii) height variances in the amount of 4-stories/28’-9”; and (iv) rear yard variance in the amount of 20 ft.
