Day Camp for boys and girls entering K-6th grade will run from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Travel Camp for boys and girls entering 7th-10th grade will have a schedule with a few earlier starts and a few later ending times to be determined after the trips are booked. WARD SUMMER LEARNING CAMP. Rye Presbyterian Educational Annex, 882 Boston Post Rd., Rye. July 8-Aug. 2, 8:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m. For young school children in grades 1-5 to improve their reading, writing and English skills, Ward’s program is not just schoolwork, but a unique learning experience featuring certified elementary teachers in small group classes and a fun music component where children learn to sing the biggest hits of classical American jazz. $275 per student--$260 each for more4 than one child from a family. Busing leaves at 8:15 a.m. from Bethesda Baptist Church in Port Chester and returns by 3 p.m. for any child who needs transportation. Children should bring a simple sandwich lunch in a paper bag with their name on it each day. Ward Institute will provide a breakfast snack of fresh milk, 100% juice and cereal each morning and milk or juice and fresh vegetables and fruit at lunch. An open house will be held Wed., June 26 at 7 p.m. for all applicants and parents. CAMP CARVER. Carver Center, 400 Westchester Ave., Port Chester. Camp runs from Mon.-Fri., July 1-Aug. 9 (no camp July 4), 8 a.m.-4 p.m. It is open to children who are between 4 and 13 years of age (as of July 1).
