Port Chester COVID-19 cases now over 100

As of Tuesday, Mar. 31, there were 123 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Port Chester. However, Village Manager Christopher Steers stated there is a delay in receiving the most up to date numbers from the state.
“We need be aware of what is happening in and around the Village and also be capable of adapting to protect the community, to take effective measures to support and promote social distancing, and to do what is within our power to help ‘flatten the curve,’” stated Steers in a community-wide update on Wednesday, Apr. 1. “We continue to explore what we can do to limit the continual spread of this virus.”

Update: The village manager reported in an email update to the Board of Trustees Thursday, Apr. 2 that there were 190 cases in Port Chester as of noon Wednesday.
