Active COVID-19 cases decrease in town

The active number of COVID-19 cases in town continues to decrease as Port Chester and Rye Brook near zero infections within their boundaries.

In Rye Brook, there were three cases of the virus as of Wednesday, Aug. 26. This number is an increase of one since last week and makes for a total of 192 infections overall.

The number of cases in Port Chester decreased by three this week making for 12 active cases. The Village has had 1,320 cases of the virus thus far.

In New York, there had been over 436,000 cases of the novel coronavirus as of press time, with over 36,500 of them coming from Westchester.
