COVID-19 cases in town as of Wednesday, July 8

The active number of COVID-19 cases is back on the decline in the Village of Port Chester. As of Wednesday, July 8, there were 14 active cases in the municipality, a decrease of four since the week before. The Village has had a total of 1,257 cases.

In Rye Brook, there was a total of three active cases, an increase of one since last Wednesday. There have been 182 cases in the Village.

In New York, there had been over 403,000 cumulative cases of the virus as of press time, with over 35,000 of them coming from Westchester.

On Tuesday, July 7, the Mid-Hudson region entered Phase 4 of the state’s reopening plan. In this last phase, higher education, low-risk outdoor and indoor arts and entertainment, media production and professional sports games without an audience can resume.
