Villages get closer to zero active COVID cases

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Rye Brook and Port Chester continue to remain low as the county moves through the reopening phases.
As of Wednesday, June 17, Port Chester had 18 active cases of the virus and a cumulative total of 1,235. The number of active cases decreased by 14 since last week.
In Rye Brook, there were two active cases of COVID-19, a decrease of one since last Wednesday. In total, there have been 178 cases within the community.
In New York, there were over 389,910 cases as of press time, with over 34,000 of them coming from Westchester.
Next Tuesday, June 23, the Mid-Hudson region is slated to enter Phase 3 of the state’s reopening plan. With the proper restrictions, restaurants will be allowed to reopen for indoor dining and personal care industries, such as nail salons, can service customers again.
