Port Chester Senior Center closing for two weeks
March 12, 2020 at 3:53 a.m.
In the interest of the public’s health, and the growing concern over exposure to COVID-19 virus, the Village of Port Chester Senior Center will be closed beginning Monday, Mar. 16. The senior center will not reopen its doors for programming for two weeks and certainly not before Mar. 30, according to Village Manager Christopher Steers.
During this period of closure, the village will perform an extensive cleaning of the senior center while maintaining its scheduled home delivered meal services. “As an accommodation to our seniors, we will also provide for meals to be picked up from an exterior location,” said Steers.
If you have any questions, contact the village manager’s office at 939-2200.
“Thank you for your cooperation and understanding at this time,” the village manager concluded.
