Zyloware closes Port Chester office

“As a 97-year-old family legacy business, one of our main core beliefs is ‘family first,’” wrote Zyloware Eyewear in an email Tuesday, Mar. 17. Zyloware's corporate office and distribution center are located in the tri-state area of New York, in fact on Slater Street in Port Chester, where the COVID-19 virus continues to unfold.
“We are increasingly concerned about the health, safety, and well-being of our employees,” their email continues. “Due to this, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to voluntarily temporarily close our corporate facilities.” Their closure will take place starting end of business day Thursday, Mar. 19 with a projected reopen date of Monday, Apr. 6.
“This decision will give our employees the ability to stay home and ‘self-quarantine’ along with their families, states the email. “Through this, we will be doing our part to eradicate this spreading illness, which will hopefully prove to be a short-term fix with a long-term solution.”
