COVID-19 cases in town increase after weeks of remaining low

Last Wednesday, Sept. 23, Port Chester had one of its lowest numbers of active COVID-19 cases.
However, over the last week the infection count increased by three, putting the Village at 12 cases on Wednesday, Sept. 30. This makes for a cumulative total of 1,353 cases.
The Village of Rye Brook also experienced a slight increase since last week. As of press time, there were five active cases of the novel coronavirus in the municipality, an increase of two since last Wednesday. Rye Brook has had a total of 206 infections.
In New York, there have been over 463,000 cases of COVID-19, with over 38,000 of them coming from Westchester.
