Active COVID-19 cases double in Port Chester

After weeks of remaining relatively low, the number of active COVID-19 cases is on the rise again in Rye Town.
Since Wednesday, Sept. 30, Port Chester’s number of active infections has doubled. As of press time on Wednesday, Oct. 7, there were 25 cases of the virus in the Village—an increase of 13 since last week. Port Chester has had a cumulative total of 1,370 infections.
Cases are also rising in Rye Brook. As of Wednesday, there were eight active cases of COVID-19 in the municipality, an increase of three since last Wednesday. The Village has had 210 infections.
In New York, there have been almost 473,000 cases of COVID-19, with over 38,000 of them coming from Westchester.
