P.C. sees another COVID-19 hike; numbers remain steady in R.B.

The Village of Port Chester has seen a fluctuation in COVID-19 rates since Wednesday, Jan. 6, though the number of active cases has stayed consistently high.

On Wednesday, Jan. 13, there were 406 active cases in the Village, a significant increase compared to the 360 reported on the same day last week. However, Wednesday’s COVID-19 rate does represent a decrease from the day before, which hosted 435 active infections.

Port Chester has seen a cumulative total of 3,257 cases.

There were 98 active cases in the Village of Rye Brook as of press time—two more than the 96 infections reported last Wednesday. In total, there have been 636 COVID-19 cases in the Village.

The Westchester Medical Center’s mobile coronavirus testing site will continue visiting Port Chester on Sundays and Wednesdays until cases start to decrease in the municipality.

The testing site will be at Segunda Iglesia Pentecostal Juan 3:16 at 58 Poningo St. on Sunday, Jan. 17, and Wednesday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments must be made in advance by calling 914-202-4530 or going to wmchealthnetwork.tfaforms.net/256.
