Don Bosco Hawks host car wash to benefit soccer academy

The Saint John Bosco Parish soccer club, the Don Bosco Hawks, will have a car wash fundraiser this weekend. Proceeds will support the running of the club for 120+ young people.
It will be held in the Corpus Christi Church Parking Lot on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This affordable soccer program for the youth of Port Chester and surrounding towns is made up of teams that are coached and managed by volunteers.
While they are only charging $5 per car, the organizers see it as an event that will bring awareness to their program, allowing them to build a bond with the community.
“We want the kids to feel the love of their village,” said coach Jormar Castillo. “Many small businesses and foundations have already reached out to support and we hope to receive more help.”
On Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10-3 please stop by the Corpus Christi parking lot and purchase a car wash ticket or help clean some cars.
