The DEA’s Drug Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for families to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths by safely disposing of expired and/or excess prescription drugs. On Sat., Oct. 23 from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. the Rye Brook Police Dept., 938 King St. will be taking part in this event in conjunction with the Blind Brook Community Coalition. This location does not accept sharps or liquid medications.

Nature Therapy Placemaking will be guiding a Nature and Forest Therapy Walk at Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook in partnership with Friends of Crawford Park, Sun., Oct. 24, 4-5:30 p.m. $25 per person, from which a portion will be donated to Friends of Crawford Park. The Port Chester Council for the Arts, Inc. will present the 10th annual ART10573 art show and sale Sunday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. inside the Crawford Mansion Community Center, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook. Visual artists from Port Chester, Rye Brook and surrounding communities will exhibit and sell their work in a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink, colored pencil, oil, textured art, jewelry, and fabric. Discover the amazing work of the talented artists living and working in the community. There will be live music and a raffle of small works by each artist to benefit the PCCFA’s Summer ArtsCamp. Halloween in the Park, hosted by the Port Chester Recreation Department, will take place Wed., Oct. 27 in Lyon Park for children up to 10 years old. Free. Rain date: Thurs., Oct. 28. There will be a costume contest on stage, 5:30-6 p.m., and candy giveaway, 6-7 p.m. Candy will not be given out until after costume contest has finished. The Crawford Park Free Music Series at Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St. Rye Brook will present Music on the Great Lawn featuring Michael Darnell and Weekend Affection Fri., Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m. Event will include Three Little Pigs food truck. Autumn Seed Swap, co-hosted by the Village of Rye Brook and the Rye Brook Sustainability Committee, will take place Sun., Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. in Garibaldi Park, Garibaldi Place, Rye Brook. They will be prioritizing native seeds, but you are welcome to bring pollinator friendly seeds, vegetable seeds and plants to swap with other attendees as well. Envelopes and pens will be provided to split up seeds, or you can bring your own containers to use.

Veterans Luncheon: Father John M. Grady Council #503 of the Knights of Columbus, 327 Westchester Ave., Port Chester will host a Thank You Luncheon for veterans and their families on Sat., Nov. 6 at 12:00 noon. All military veterans and their families are invited. Join us for a thank you lunch held in their honor.

A simple menu of bread & butter, tossed garden salad, BBQ chicken, stuffed shells, Portuguese shrimp. The meal is free. It is being prepared by local Girl Scouts.

The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library has announced that registration is open for their October Grab and Go Halloween Craft. Children will be given a bag with all of the pieces they need to make the crafts.

Yoga in the Park with Jamie Maldonado at Crawford Park Mansion, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook takes place every Sun., 9:30-10:30 a.m. All levels welcome.
