Veterans Luncheon: Father John M. Grady Council #503 of the Knights of Columbus, 327 Westchester Ave., Port Chester will host a Thank You Luncheon for veterans and their families on Sat., Nov. 6 at 12 noon. All military veterans and their families are invited.

The Town of Rye Sustainability Committee is organizing a multi-municipality cleanup and Hurricane Ida recovery day Sat., Nov. 6, from 9-11 a.m. Volunteers can choose from five different municipal locations where they will help beautify and restore their communities in the wake of Hurricane Ida by picking up trash and debris or removing invasive vines. The five cleanup sites are: Bowman Avenue (near Port Chester Middle School), Rye Brook (meet in Rye Ridge Shopping Center, Plaza Level); Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St, Rye Brook (wear long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes and gloves appropriate for invasive vine removal, park onsite); downtown Port Chester, (meet at the Port Chester Metro-North Train Station); Disbrow Park, 141 Oakland Beach Ave., Rye. (wear close-toed, water-resistant shoes and clothes appropriate for marshland activity) and Mamaroneck River (meet at train station by Modern on the Rails, 1 Station Plaza, Mamaroneck (wear close-toed, water-resistant shoes and clothes appropriate for marshland activity).
