Westport Country Playhouse has changed the date of “Family Fun Day” from Sat., Oct. 30 to Sun., Oct. 31 from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m. due to inclement weather forecast for Oct. 30. Event features activities for kids, treats, food trucks, community food drive, beer tastings, and costume parade for kids and dogs. In addition, the Playhouse box office will be open from 12-2 p.m. for 25% discounts on in-person tickets to the upcoming performances of “Doubt: A Parable” as well as 2022 Flex Passes. Admission is free and open to the public. This unique event combines fun family friendly activities and giving back. Event begins at 11 a.m. with a ghost story on the Playhouse patio as guests listen to the WSHU Public Radio broadcast of the latest play in the Playhouse Radio Theater series, “Spectres and Spirits.” At 12 p.m., there will host a Story Hour on the patio. At 1 p.m., a children’s costume parade will march around the Playhouse campus, followed at 1:30 p.m. by a pet parade with treats courtesy of Earth Animal. At 2 p.m., another Story Hour will be hosted by Jenny Nelson, reading “There is a Witch in Your Book.” Children are encouraged to bring their own pumpkins for decorating. The Katonah Museum of Art will present Picture Our Journey, on view in the Learning Center thru Jan. 23. Pelham Art Center at 155 Fifth Ave. is displaying a new public art installation. The Conversation Sculpture, by Brooklyn artist Musa Hixson. It is a 9 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 ft. steel sculpture that mimics a blooming flower with three seats enclosed in its frame. The interactive piece intends to facilitate new connections and encourage people to think differently about public space. Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester County Parks announced an expanded Bicycle Sundays season for 2021. The program takes place every Sunday through October. It is presented by Westchester County Parks and sponsored by the Westchester Parks Foundation and its partners through generous donations from co-presenting sponsors Con Edison and NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital. Danny Cycles returns as the exclusive bicycle shop. The annual event welcomes bicyclists, skaters, joggers, and walkers and runs from the Westchester County Center in White Plains, south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers – a round-trip of 13.1 miles. There are many points of entry, exit and parking along the way. The event is free to the public.

Visit Muscoot Farm for the animals and stay for the art as the farm’s art shows return every weekend through October, 12-4 p.m. in the Main House first floor gallery at 51 Route 100, Katonah. Storm King Art Center, 1 Museum Rd, New Windsor, NY is presenting a site-specific installation of Rashid Johnson’s 2019 sculptural work The Crisis on view thru Nov. 8. The installation marks the first US presentation of the artwork, which the artist has adapted to respond directly to Storm King’s native landscape. The work—a 16-foot-tall, yellow pyramidal steel structure—is set within a field of native grasses, which Storm King has worked to reintroduce to its landscape and cultivate over the last 25 years.
