The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library is running a Summer Reading Program thru Sept. 10 for children entering kindergarten and up. Go to the website, www.portchester-ryebrooklibrary.org to participate. Children can record the books they read and complete exciting challenges over the summer. The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library will present Virtual Frogs, Bugs and Animals on their website www.portchester-ryebrooklibrary.org thru Sept. 2. Join Jason and meet a giant frog, fuzzy chinchilla, prickly hedgehog, lazy lizard, crunchy bugs and more. Learn about where they are from, what they eat, when they sleep and how they protect themselves. Everyone is encouraged to laugh and sing with a surprise guest visitor at the end of the show. The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library will offer conversational English classes for intermediate and advanced students online using Zoom Mondays & Tuesdays, 9:30-10:30 a.m. To register and get the Zoom link contact Mary at [email protected].

STEAM at Home from the library posts new projects weekly. Recent projects have included: Exploring Leaves, making Flying Dragons, Fireworks in a Jar, Programming a Human Robot, and Nature Bracelets. For information go to the library’s website, www.portchester-ryebrooklibrary.org.

Clay Art Center is offering Kids Clay Virtual Parties via Zoom for a fun way for your child to celebrate with friends virtually. Let CAC host a virtual get together for an upcoming birthday party, scout meeting, school friends get together or weekly playdate where CAC instructors will guide kids through a fun clay project of your choosing. For ages 7-teen. Curbside clay pickup available at Clay Art Center. You must be able to download Zoom video chat. Clay and supplies where applicable must be purchased separately.
