From left, junior student performers Marco Martire (Bronx) and Gaetano Corrao (Thornwood) danced the Tarantella; school counselor Kanard Lewis served as emcee; senior Panagiotis Papastefanou (Bronx) sang in Greek; seniors Nathanael Curro (Mount Vernon), Mateo Loyo (Port Chester), Nien Levy (Bronx) and sophomore Kristof Spellen (New Rochelle) performed the traditional Chinese lion dance; senior John Kader (Scarsdale) showcased traditional Jordanian fashion; senior Daniel Callanan (Tarrytown) showed why he was the 2016 U12 World Irish Dancing Champion; and juniors Grant Wang (New Rochelle) and Diego Ocasio (New York) also donned some fresh duds for Iona Preparatory School’s international fashion show to celebrate Heritage Day at the Upper School in New Rochelle on Mar. 29. The cultural performances highlighted the school’s diverse student population.
