Spring into reading
Park Avenue Elementary School second-graders in Marianne Scofield’s class fixate on County Executive George Latimer, a special guest visiting on Thursday, Apr. 7, to celebrate literacy during the school’s Spring into Reading day. Throughout the day, students and staff rejoiced in the changing seasons and their love for books by dressing up as their favorite characters and welcoming local officials and first responders to stop by and read stories.
