The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library, 1 Haseco Ave., Port Chester is offering several programs this summer including a Summer Reading Program. Children of all ages can visit the library to sign up. They will be given a bingo board to record they books they read. Once they get bingo, they can come back to the library with their bingo board for a prize; Summer Storywalk thru Sept. 2. Enjoy walking around the lawn and reading “Smiley Shark” by Ruth Galloway. Go to www.portchester-ryebrooklibrary.org to see and listen to Ms. Tee read the story. Adopt a Stuffed Animal Reading Buddy. Supplies are limited; a Grab & Go Coloring Bookmark. Children will receive a Grab & Go Coloring Bookmark and crayons to take home and keep and Grab & Go Rock Painting Kits for children, tweens, teens, adults, seniors and families. Port Chester Recreation is presenting Concerts in the Park in Lyon Park, 331 Putnam Ave., Fri. nights, 7:30-9 p.m. Aug. 5: Twist of Fate (fun summer music) and Aug. 12: Sway (rock ‘n roll). The Town of Rye Great Lawn Summer Series will continue at Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook Wed., Aug. 24 (Funk Salsa Urban), 6:30-8:30 p.m. Event features food trucks and fun. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs.

The Village of Rye Brook is presenting the third Music in the Park concert at Pine Ridge Park Wed., Aug. 10, 7-9 p.m. with Downward Spiral. Movie in The Park: “Clifford the Big Red Dog” Fri., Aug. 12, in Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road, 8:15 p.m. until the end of movie. Bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Rye Brook Seniors will host a Defensive Driving Course with Sam Eskander at Posillipo Center, 32 Garibaldi Pl., Rye Brook, Fri., Aug. 5. Open to all ages. Fee: $30 cash payable day of course; a trip to Arthur Avenue, Wed. Aug. 10. Bus departs AJP at 9:30 a.m. and Arthur Avenue at 2 p.m. Shop and lunch in the Bronx. $2. All shows at The Capitol Theatre and Garcia’s in Port Chester during the height of the pandemic have been canceled or postponed. Following is the current information from The Capitol: Rescheduled: Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, Mon., Sept. 26 (originally Jan. 24, 2022) and Steve Vai, Thurs., Oct. 27 (originally Feb. 26, 2022). Yet to be rescheduled: Rival Sons, Ripe. Canceled shows: Bella Fleck & The Fleckstones; Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Lake Street Drive, Bombay Bicycle Club, Michael Franti, Sunrise Day Camp Benefit, Billy Strings, Saving Grace, The Fab Faux and Devon Allman Band & Samantha Fish Band (previously June 17, 2022). Refund at point of purchase. Original tickets will be honored on the new date and tickets for all performances can be purchased at www.ticketfly.com.

Health Insurance Navigation Help, offered by the Westchester County Department of Health, takes place at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. by appointment only. Free.
