The Port Chester Rye Brook Public Library, 1 Haseco Ave., Port Chester is offering several programs this summer including a Summer Reading Program. Children of all ages can visit the library to sign up. Children will be given a bingo board to record they books they read. Once they get bingo, they can come back to the library with their bingo board for a prize. Summer Storywalk thru Sept. 2. Enjoy walking around the lawn and reading “Smiley Shark” by Ruth Galloway. Port Chester Recreation is presenting Concerts in the Park in Lyon Park, 331 Putnam Ave., Fri. nights, 7:30-9 p.m. July 22: The Desperados (Eagles tribute band); July 29: Mass Conn Fusion (r&b); Aug. 5: Twist of Fate (fun summer music) and Aug. 12: Sway (rock ‘n roll). There will be a Mobile Shredder Event in the Port Chester Village Hall parking lot, 222 Grace Church St., Sat., July 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. sponsored by the Town of Rye and the Village of Port Chester. Residents can bring items for shredding.

There will be a Port Chester-Rye Brook community-wide Tag Sale on Sat., July 23, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at various addresses around town as well as at the Foster Teen Employment Network headquarters, 63 Bowman Ave., organized by the Rye Brook Sustainability Committee. The Village of Rye Brook is hosting Ice Cream Fridays every Fri. in July, 6-7:30 p.m., in Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road. There will be music, a bounce house and the concession stand will be open.
