There will be a car wash Sun., June 12, 12-3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church, 761 King St., Rye Brook jointly sponsored by the students of the Gay Straight Alliance at Port Chester and Blind Brook High Schools, St. Paul’s and Congregation KTI. Funds will benefit homeless LGBTQ+ youth. The Port Chester-Rye Brook Rotary Club will host their 100-Year Anniversary Celebration Fundraiser Thurs., June 16, 6:30-9:30 p.m. in Rye Town Park—Oakland Beach Pavilion, 95 Dearborn Ave., Rye. They are asking for sponsorships and/or items and gift cards to be donated for a silent auction. There are three sponsorship levels—Platinum $1,000, Gold $500 and Silver $250. The Town of Rye will host National Independence Day Juneteenth, Sat., June 18, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the African American Cemetery, 215 North St., Rye. The ceremony will be followed by a service project. Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S. and honoring the culture and achievements of African Americans.

The Village of Rye Brook will hold a 40th birthday celebration Sat., June 18, 12-4 p.m. at Crawford Park, 122 N. Ridge St. Come for an afternoon of family fun! Volunteers are needed. Again this year, there will be a food drive. Please bring canned goods with you on the day of the event. The celebration will include the 1st Annual Adult Pie Eating Contest at 3 p.m. This event is for Rye Brook residents only and only 10 spots are available, first come, first served. Rye Brook Recreation will offer a 6-week Summer Day Camp and Teen Travel Camp, July 5-Aug. 12, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration is open. Day Camp--$1150 for first child; additional child is $900. Cerebral Palsy Westchester, 1186 King St., Rye Brook will offer the Jimmy Vejar Summer Day Camp June 27-Aug. 12.
