The Port Chester-Rye Brook Girl Scouts held a HerStory event for Women’s History Month on Saturday, Mar. 19. The 10 women pictured inspired a group of Girl Scouts with their stories about what they do. The women are, from left, Carolee Brakewood with the Port Chester Historical Society; Blanca Lopez, Deputy Planning Commissioner for Westchester County; Pam Jaffee, Rye Town Councilwoman; Whitney Gomez with Curated Casa; Stephanie Lazala, Tourette’s Association of America youth ambassador and Port Chester Girl Scout; Cynthia Oliveros-Rivera, EMS and cancer survivor; Jananne Abel, Westmore News editor; Pat Allen with Sharing Shelf and former Girl Scout leader; Nancy Barr, County Legislator and former Girl Scout leader; Jordan Shoor Allen with the Port Chester Historical Society and a Daisy troop leader.
