Breeze Airways offers discount fares to lure local residents to new routes

Westchester County Airport’s (HPN) newest commercial air carrier, Breeze Airways, has announced a major sale to lure local residents to their service.
Breeze is the first-ever airline to offer nonstop flights from HPN to Los Angeles (with their new Airbus A 220-300 aircraft) and starting now Breeze is promising “a Fall travel season fare sale to seven destinations from New York’s Westchester airport with fares starting from just $29* one way—and nonstop service to Los Angeles’ LAX from just $99. Fares must be purchased by October 31, 2022, for travel from November 1 through February 14, 2023.”
The additional Westchester (HPN) Breeze destinations include:
- Nashville, Tenn., from $29* one way;
- Charleston, S.C., from $29* one way;
- Norfolk, Va., from $29* one way;
- Savannah, Ga., from $29* one way;
- Sarasota-Bradenton, Fla., from $39* one way;
- Jacksonville, Fla., from $49* one way
As usual with sales and prices like these, there are restrictions and caveats. Here are the ones from Breeze:
“Promotional fare is only available when booking a new reservation. Supply is limited and a 7-day advance purchase requirement applies. Promotion must be purchased by October 31, 2022 (11:59 p.m. ET), for travel from November 1, 2022 through February 14, 2023. Price displayed includes taxes and government fees. Fare prices, rules, routes and schedules are subject to change without notice. Black-out dates include November 17-28, and December 22-January 3. Other restrictions may apply.”
Even during the black-out dates, the Breeze fares may be far lower than anything you can get from airlines at the three major New York airports. Add in the costs of ground transportation to those airports, and you may still be ahead of the game.
Additionally, Westmore News readers are advised to carefully check the Breeze schedules either via their app or on their website (www.breezeairways.com) to see if Hurricane Ian damage to Florida’s West Coast and interior airports is still affecting service to the region.
