Rye Brook Recreation will present Pumpkin Patch, Sat., Oct. 15 at Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Pumpkins are available for $6-$10. Hot apple cider and donuts will also be available for sale. Activities for kids will include balloon dart throw, frisbee toss, ring toss, fish bowl toss and can knockdown. After you purchase your pumpkin, you can enter the Pumpkin Decorating/Carving Contest. All entries must be submitted to [email protected] by Oct. 22 and should include a picture of the finished product with the creator, their name and age.

Clay Art Center, 40 Beech St., Port Chester will hold their Annual Benefit & Auction, Hand-in-Hand, Sat., Oct. 15, 4-6 p.m. This is a tented outdoor event which will be held at CAC. Mingle, enjoy good food and celebrate. Supporter tickets start at $185 which includes admission for one to the live outdoor event and online auction and a raffle ticket to win Julia Galloway’s Blue Spotted Salamander Urn and more. Proceeds from the auction and benefit support vital operations as well as programs, including year-round scholarships, residencies for emerging artists and community programs that allow CAC to promote the practice and appreciation for ceramic arts in our region. The virtual auction will include ceramic items generously donated by CAC artists and other nationally recognized ceramic artists. Online bidding is open now and will close Sun., Oct. 16. Miles for MOMS, the Meals on Main Street Community Run, will take place Sun., Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. beginning and ending at The Colony Grill, 35 Abendroth Ave., Port Chester. In addition to a 1.5-mile Fun Run, there will be a 5K race. Race festivities will include food, drinks and music at Colony Grill. Friends of Crawford Park will hold a Fall Planting Day Sun., Oct. 16, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Participants will be planting about 30 new native shrubs and grasses in the George Hogben Memorial Garden in the park at 122 N. ART 10573, the Port Chester Council for the Arts annual art show and sale, will be held Sun., Oct. 23, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Crawford Mansion Community Center, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook. The show and sale features 20 artists with work in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, gold foil, pencil and ink, colored pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, oil, jewelry, mixed media, digital composition and fabric. Donna Cribari will provide musical accompaniment throughout the day. An hourly raffle will feature small pieces donated by each artist with proceeds benefitting the PCCFA’a Summer Arts Camp scholarship fund.

Clay Art Center, 40 Beech St., Port Chester, will present “Winged Women” sculptures by CAC artist Susan Wortman, a Breast Cancer Awareness Month special event, with items available for purchase in the gallery and online thru Oct. 31. After a breast cancer diagnosis, Susan began this series of hand-built porcelain sculptures to heal from her cancer experience and adjust to a mastectomy with reconstruction. Representing health, strength and hope, the 50 sculptures of Susan’s Winged Women series reflect the diversity and beauty of our imperfect bodies. Fifty percent of the sale of each work will be donated to Cancer Support Team, a Westchester based non-profit that provides services to cancer patients and their families.
