The Brook volleyball team played in two games during the past week and their record was one win and one loss. They broke even which was a first for this team, but they know this is nowhere near the end for them and they have to keep fighting. On Saturday, Oct. 15, they played a third game, and they were able to secure a second win to change the week's record. The current record of the volleyball team is 11-2.

Starting the week on Wednesday, Oct. 12 against Valhalla, Oriah Rosenfeld got eight kills and 10 digs, Halle Greaige scored five kills and seven aces, Ella Rosenfeld had six kills, and Fernanda Julian assisted 22 times. The final score was 3-1 in the first success of the week. Set one was a win for Blind Brook 25-17, but Valhalla came back to take the next set 21-25, the last set the Vikings won. Blind Brook took the final two sets 25-16 and 25-23.

On Friday, Oct. 14, Blind Brook played Rye Neck to a tough loss after a hard-fought game. The final score was 3-2 with Blind Brook initially taking the victory 25-21, losing the second set 16-25, winning the third set 25-11 and then Rye Neck tied it up 2-2 with the last set 23-25. In a set to break the tie, they played to 15 and Rye Neck was able to take the win 6-15 in the end. Even though this game was a loss for the Lady Trojans, there were still some great highlights. Ella Rosenfeld acquired seven kills, Oriah Rosenfeld had six, and Sophia Carey saved 13 hits with her 13 digs.

Westlake was the last game of the week on Saturday, Oct. 15 with the final score of 3-1. In this contest, there were tons of highlights. Oriah Rosenfeld obtained 21 kills and 12 digs, Julian assisted 35 points, Ella Rosenfeld achieved five aces, two blocks, and 13 kills, Lauren Reed scored off five kills and Zoeya Suhail ended with 11 digs.

The Lady Trojans are working hard on and off the court. When you look at them on the court, you see one team of ladies working together with great communication and finesse. It is definitely worth watching this volleyball team which has its last regular season game on Friday, Oct. 21 at 4:30 p.m. at Keio Academy in Purchase, but their last home game is Thursday, Oct. 20 against Pleasantville.
