The Blind Brook PTA Fall Fest will be held at the BMP-Ridge St. School, 390 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook Sat., Oct. 22, 12-3:30 p.m. Event will feature face painting, music, inflatables, games, crafts, popcorn, cotton candy and more. Food trucks, spirit wear and additional items will be available for purchase. $10 adults; $30 children; $70 family pack—all include raffle tickets. Tickets are available for purchase through Community Pass.

Early voting for the General Election will take place Sat., Oct. 29-Sun., Nov. 6 at the Rye Brook Firehouse, 940 King Street. Hours: Oct. 29, 30, Nov. 5 & 6, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Oct. 31, Nov. 2 & 4, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; Nov. 1 & 3, 12-8 p.m. Election Day is Tues., Nov. 8. Port Chester Recreation will host Halloween in the Park in Lyon Park Wed., Oct. 26 for children up to 10 years old. Rain date: Thurs., Oct. 27. There will be a costume contest, 5:30-6 p.m. and candy giveaway, 6-7 p.m.; candy will not be given out until after the costume contest has finished. Categories for the costume contest are scariest, funniest, cutest and most original. Rye Brook Recreation is holding a Pumpkin Decorating/Carving Contest. All entries must be submitted to [email protected] by Oct. 22 and should include a picture of the finished product with the creator, their name and age.

The Village of Rye Brook is holding a Halloween Home Decorating Contest with judging Wed., Oct. 26. There will be trophies for each category—scariest and most creative. Deadline to register is Mon., Oct. 24. Email [email protected] with your name, address and contact info to get on the list.

The Village of Rye Brook is holding Howl-o-Ween Sat., Oct. 29, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Road. Bring your dog or other furry animal in costume. There will be prizes for best costume at this fun for the whole family event. Representatives from the Humane Society of Westchester and the Girl Scouts will be on site to tell you about their great organizations.

The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library, 1 Haseco Ave. will offer English Classes with Westchester Community College. ART 10573, the Port Chester Council for the Arts annual art show and sale, will be held Sun., Oct. 23, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Crawford Mansion Community Center, 122 N. Ridge St., Rye Brook. Free and open to the community. The show and sale features 20 artists with work in a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic, gold foil, pencil and ink, colored pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, oil, jewelry, mixed media, digital composition and fabric. Donna Cribari will provide musical accompaniment throughout the day. An hourly raffle will feature small pieces donated by each artist with proceeds benefitting the PCCFA’a Summer Arts Camp scholarship fund.

Clay Art Center, 40 Beech St., Port Chester, will present “Winged Women” sculptures by CAC artist Susan Wortman, a Breast Cancer Awareness Month special event, with items available for purchase in the gallery and online thru Oct. 31. After a breast cancer diagnosis, Susan began this series of hand-built porcelain sculptures to heal from her cancer experience and adjust to a mastectomy with reconstruction. Representing health, strength and hope, the 50 sculptures of Susan’s Winged Women series reflect the diversity and beauty of our imperfect bodies. Fifty percent of the sale of each work will be donated to Cancer Support Team, a Westchester based non-profit that provides services to cancer patients and their families.
