The 34th Annual Port Chester Day, presented by Port Chester Recreation, will take place Sat., Aug. 26, 12-9 p.m. in Lyon Park, 331 Putnam Ave. It will feature food trucks, 12-8 p.m., including Walter’s Hot Dogs, Latusion, Turnbro, Kisco Sweets & Treats, Los 3 Tacos, Longford’s Ice Cream, Mac’s Truck and Fry Guy. Samantha Beadle will sing the Star Spangled Banner at 12 p.m.; a Jeté dance performance by company dancers will take place 12:30-1 p.m.; Dark Dama (Latino rock) will perform 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Rico Dos Anjos will give a Tae Kwon Do demo, 3:30-4 p.m.; the Annie Mash Trio will perform 4-5 p.m., Tony “C” Natra will perform 5-5:30 p.m.; Kings Highway will perform 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the headliner, Frontiers Band, will perform 7:30-9 p.m. There will be free children’s rides 12-5 p.m., face painting, Clay Art Center activities, Home Depot crafts for kids; Gaga Ball 12-5 pm. and a Bubble Bus, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Rain date: Aug. 27. Clay Art Center, 40 Beech St., Port Chester, will present Functional Fall--A Seat at the Table: CAC National Juried Exhibition Fri., Sept. 1-Oct. 16 in the gallery and online. The exhibition is comprised of functional ceramics from more than 40 artists across the U.S. and brings everyone to the table through ceramics that serve. There will be an opening reception Sat., Sept. 9, 6-8 p.m. Meet participating artists, enjoy light refreshments and be there for the announcement of juror prizes.
