Blind Brook has long since closed out its lacrosse season by winning the league championship and its first game in the playoffs, but still the Trojans keep on scoring by achieving new LAX goals, the latest coming last Thursday (July 6).

Ethan Taerstein, one of the Trojans’ senior tri-captains, tied as the Westchester season-ending leader in LAX scoring, saves and assists with 64-44-108, the same overall score as Tappan Zee's Sean Berrigan (69-39-108), according to Lohud.

Taerstein also scored his 300th career point during the regular season.

B.B. brother act

He was also named Blind Brook's outstanding sportsperson earlier in the year.

Blind Brook's freshman hotshot Tyler Taerstein, Ethan's kid brother, was also among the sectional leaders with a score of 39-41 for a composite score of 80 as was senior co-captain Michael Berman Annunziata who notched 26-41 for a 67 total.

And Ethan Leland was among the area's save leaders with a .608 percentage.

Solid roster depth

Jake Minick, Blind Brook's third co-captain, swept his way to his 100th career assist and will be back next year as will Tyler Taerstein.

Noah Brookman, Chase Katz, CJ Stumpf, Robby Carey, Hudson McRedmond and Seth Low were also among the key contributors to this year's 13-5 team.
